Requirement:
Light, low-cost functional component with a large surface area and with different kinds of undercut.
Implementation:
To produce a weight-optimised functional component, we could use the MuCellĀ® method to optimise weight and we would also optimise item design, including reducing wall thickness and creating optimised tools.
Result:
Lower consumption of raw materials and reduced cycle time while maintaining all important functions for the customer.
STURDY COMPONENT
Built to last
Requirement:
This item will be on view and will have to bear significant static and dynamic loads on a day-to-day basis.
Implementation:
To be produced using impact-resistant material with a high fibreglass content using a technique suited to this material.
Result:
Choosing the best suited method will enable us to combine the two requirements, which would otherwise seem incompatible: a visually attractive surface and pronounced ribbing. The necessary load-bearing capacity will be attained by using an optimised plastic compound.

Combine a functional component with a soft-touch surface to make a single item with no further assembly required.
Implementation:
Produce a hard plastic frame to be covered with a soft material.
